Art Puzzle Game Free Download: What You Actually Get

Most people searching for an Art Puzzle download want two things answered: is it really free, and is the thing on the store page the real one. Both have short answers. After that comes the more interesting question of why the game is so easy to keep playing, and what to try once the pictures start to blur together.

What is the Art Puzzle game?

Art Puzzle is a mobile puzzle game from Easybrain, the studio behind Sudoku.com and Blockudoku. You rebuild hand-drawn pictures by dragging pieces onto their outlines, layer after layer, until the finished image comes to life with a short animation.

Easybrain announced the game in December 2020 and describes it as a cross between colouring and a jigsaw. The colouring shows up in the art: each piece already carries its colour, so the picture fills in as you place them.

Easybrain was founded in 2016 and is based in Limassol, Cyprus. Its site lists Art Puzzle as a winner of Google Play's 2025 Editors' Choice, next to other puzzle apps from the same studio such as Nonogram.com and Pixel Art.

Is the Art Puzzle download really free?

Yes, the download costs nothing on either store. The App Store listing marks it as free with in-app purchases, and the game shows ads. Paying is optional. What you can buy is hints, coins, tickets, bundles and a one-off ad removal.

As of September 2026 the US App Store listing shows hint packs starting at $0.99, starter and comfort bundles at $4.99, and No Ads at $14.99. None of that is required to finish a picture. It is the standard shape for a free phone puzzle: the core loop is free, and money buys speed and quiet.

The same listing shows a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from about 287,000 ratings, a 13+ age rating, and a download of roughly 257 MB that needs iOS 15 or later. On Android the size and version requirement change between releases, so check the Google Play page on your own device.

Where should you download Art Puzzle from?

From the App Store or Google Play. Easybrain's own Art Puzzle page links to those two stores and nowhere else, and it mentions no browser version. Third-party download sites repackage the Android file, which adds risk for no benefit.

Search results for this game are full of download mirrors, and they are easy to confuse with the real thing because they reuse the official name and screenshots. If the developer's own page does not link to it, skip it. Installing from the store also means your updates and purchases carry over.

That also answers the question of playing Art Puzzle online. If you want an art puzzle in a browser, you are looking for a different game, not a web version of this one.

How do you play Art Puzzle?

Each picture starts as an outline on a blank canvas, with its pieces below. Drag every piece onto the shape that fits it. When one layer is done, the next layer's outline appears. Finish the last layer and the picture animates.

The difficulty comes from look-alikes. Several pieces can have nearly the same silhouette, and some spots are partly hidden, so the game is really training your eye to match shapes quickly. When you get stuck there are hints, which is where the hint packs come in.

On top of the picture library, Easybrain's page mentions more than 6,000 images, daily challenges that earn trophies, and seasonal events with their own rewards. That is the part designed to bring you back every day.

Why does Art Puzzle feel so relaxing?

Because there is nothing to get wrong for good. Every piece has one correct place and the finished picture is always the same one. All the work is in finding pieces, which keeps stress low.

That is a deliberate design, and it is a good one for winding down. But it is also why the game can start to feel thin after a few hundred pictures. There is no choice that you could regret, so there is no moment where you look at the result and think about what you would do differently next time.

If you miss that feeling, look for a puzzle where the pieces are simple and the decision is hard.

What should you play after Art Puzzle?

Try an order puzzle. You still build a picture out of a fixed set of pieces, but each piece changes depending on what is already there, so the order you place them in decides what the finished scene looks like.

How is an order puzzle different from a jigsaw?

A jigsaw asks where each piece goes. An order puzzle asks when. In Art Puzzle every piece has one fixed home. In an order puzzle every item can go anywhere in the sequence, and its effect depends on everything placed before it.

So you cannot solve an order puzzle by looking harder, the way you can with a stuck jigsaw piece. What you can do is read dependencies: this item needs that one in place first, that one damages anything planted after it.
